I have completed several weeks seeing practice in small animal clinics. Handled, examined and treated small animals. Cared for in-patient animals, including manual physiotherapy for post op orthopaedic patients, administration of drugs, treated and dressed wounds, performed physical examinations and assessments of animals during consults. Assisted in soft tissue and orthopaedic surgeries and performed castrations and spays. Refined my knowledge of common orthopaedic conditions in terms of diagnosis and treatment. Met and consulted with owners and advised owners about animal feeding and behaviour. I am currently seeing practice with PDSA in Belfast for the next 3 weeks
